Recently, the EU regulations on Fragrance labeling changed. The list of Fragrance allergens that need to be declared grew from 24 to more than 80. Instead of just looking out for Parfum, Aroma and a couple of known ones like Limonene, Linaloon and Eugenol, there will be more ingredients to look out for. Without further ado, here's the list:
- 3-Propylidenephthalide - spicy herbaceous
- 6-Methyl Coumarin - intense sweet vanilla
- Acetyl Cedrene - strong woody odor
- Alpha-isomethyl Ionone - powdery, woody and floral scent, very similar to violet
- Alpha-Terpinene - floral pine woody
- Amyl Cinnamal - soft-floral Jasmine
- Amyl Cinnamyl Alcohol - light-floral, sweet like cinnamon
- Amyl Salicylate - sweet herbaceous, green but floral
- Anethole - licorice, anise
- Anise Alcohol - floral powdery anise
- Benzaldehyde - strong sharp almond-like
- Benzyl Alcohol - sweet floral, rose with slight almond
- Benzyl Benzoate - sweet balsamic scent
- Benzyl Cinnamate - spicy, balsamic, floral
- Benzyl Salicylate - slight-floral, spicy, balsamic
- Beta-Caryophyllene - woody spicy, clove
- Butylphenyl Methylpropional - strong floral, lillies
- Camphor - medicinal minty
- Cananga Odorata Oil/Extract -sweet floral, jasmine custard, chanel no 5
- Carvone - sweet minty
- Cedrus Atlantica Oil/ Extract - warm, woody earthy
